What it is
Rocketry Club builds two-stage model rockets from the fin can up and flies them at the county field on Saturday mornings. Members learn solid-motor selection, centre-of-pressure maths, and how to recover a rocket from a tree. Every spring we enter the state altitude challenge with an egg on board, and every spring we argue about whether the egg counts.

Do I need to have built a rocket before, or can I start from nothing?
From nothing. Most people arrive having never built one. You will be on somebody else's build for the first month and flying your own by the spring.
